Black Cohosh root (Actaea racemosa): Perhaps one of the most popular traditional herbs used for the management of menopause symptoms, Black Cohosh is a clinically proven effective treatment for hot flashes and night sweats.

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata): Passionflower has a direct effect on GABA receptors and studies show it helps to treat insomnia related to menopause.

Sage (Salvia): This herb also acts on GABA receptors, but more importantly is shown to increase memory which is often affected during menopause. Additionally, Sage offers phytoestrogenic properties, imperative to menopause support.

Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata): This herb is added specifically for its regulating effects on emotions, which is helpful for irritability. While not every woman experiences mood swings with menopause, this herb is a staple in the blend as it brings a calming effect to the nervous system.

Lemon balm (Melissa) and Marshmallow (Althaea): Together, these herbs have a cooling and moistening effect on the body which is helpful for night sweats and hot flashes.

Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca): Contains compounds that help ease symptoms of sadness that manifest as heart palpitations. Additionally, studies show Motherwort helps to prevent weight gain as it relates to a decrease in estrogen.
