This hands-on workshop is excellent for children ages 5 and up!*

During the Little Herbalist Class, your child will learn how to make 3 basic methods of preparation for herbal medicine: teas, tinctures, and teas.

They will work with a mortar and pestle, digital scales, herbs and solvents, and more. Children will learn the basics of how herbs act within our bodies and how to dose on various preparations. They will also be encouraged to go explore and learn more about locally growing plants. Children will be sent home with a nature journal, herbal flash cards, and a Little Herbalist Certificate.

Each class lasts roughly 1-1.5 hours.

*Younger siblings are welcome to come and play at the arts & crafts section or in our kiddos’ corner for no extra charge. Also, children 13 and up may be underwhelmed by this experience. For classes aimed toward older youth, consider our Herbal Medicine Making class.
