ABECA Naturals’ Community Education Series presents Herbal Medicine Making with Ashley Murphy.

Our Herbal Medicine Making Class covers the basics of making herbal preparations for use within your home and your community.

During class, Ashley will speak on a high-level view about herbal medicine, its history, traditional and current uses, and most common methods of preparation. We will also talk about local foraging, harvesting, and storing of dried herbs.

After instruction, you will make your three herbal medicine products to take home: an immune-boosting liquid extract for internal use, and a skin-soothing salve for external use.

Due to the nature of working with hot oils and alcohol, we ask that no young children attend this class. We encourage parents to use their discretion on age and maturity when signing up children to attend.

Wear comfortable clothes which may or not become stained, and an eagerness to learn! A love for people and plants is a big plus too!

A clipboard with note sheets will be provided for you, and we will have an open Q&A during product making.
